2025 Clinton County Tourism Grant

2025 Clinton County Tourism Grant

INTRODUCTION

The Clinton County Tourism Matching Grant Program is a collaborative effort between the Clinton County Visitors Bureau and the Clinton County Commissioners, designed to enhance tourism and increase visitation from outside the County. Funded through a portion of the County’s lodging tax, this program provides financial support to projects that aim to boost Clinton County's tourism industry by attracting visitors beyond the 50-mile radius. The goal is to drive economic impact, increase overnight stays, and contribute to job creation within the County.

Administered by the Clinton County Tourism Grant Committee, the program invites applications from non-profit organizations, for-profit entities, and government agencies that are focused on tourism promotion, tourism development, and initiatives aimed at increasing overnight stays. Proposals should be designed to enhance the overall visitor experience and to foster a greater appreciation of the County’s tourism assets.

The Clinton County Tourism Grant Committee seeks projects that demonstrate creativity, an understanding of current tourism trends, and a clear strategy for maximizing tourism impact. Priority will be given to initiatives that outline how they will attract visitors to Clinton County, specifically by increasing overnight stays and spending.

PURPOSE

In alignment with Act 18 of 2016, the Clinton County Tourism Matching Grant Program is designed to award grants for projects that promote tourism growth in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Marketing and promotions (to drive visitation and overnight stays)

  • Product development (enhancing tourism offerings and attractions)

  • Special events (festivals, exhibits, or activities designed to attract visitors)

  • Attraction enhancements (improving or creating new tourism assets)

All projects funded through this program must be strategically aimed at increasing overnight travel to the County. By supporting these initiatives, the program seeks to fortify Clinton County’s tourism and hospitality sectors, creating a lasting economic impact, and contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of the region.
