How to add readonly fields in Google Forms?

Google Forms does not support readonly fields, but you can use Formesign addon to change the appearance from editable to readonly for any question type.


How to make a field read-only in Google Forms?


  • Open your form in Google Forms

  • Click on the addon icon

  • Click Formprefill

  • Click Create prefill links

  • Click Proceed

  • Share page will open in a new tab

  • Click Edit

  • In the Edit page, click on the gear icon next to the field

  • Field settings page will be displayed

  • Click Answer

  • Change the Appearance to readonly

  • Click Save
